About the Author

It started with yearbooks, both high school and college, this love of seeing one’s words in print. Sally grew up in Salt Lake City, where she graduated from the University of Utah with a degree in journalism. During senior year of college she met her husband, who was also on the yearbook staff.
Then the journey began. With career promotions and transfers, they moved every few years until finally settling in Hawai`i with their three children. So many settings provided scenes and scenarios for fiction writing. All’s Faire, a lighthearted romance set in Illinois, found its setting from their years in Northbook. The Whole Enchilada, a 2002 finalist in Romance Writers of America Golden Heart contest, germinated in San Antonio when scouting colleges with her daughter. Kaneloa, a short story appearing in Ghosts at the Coast, was nominated for Pushcart Prizes: Best of the Small Presses in 2005.  Picture Perfect is a perfect reminder of an anniversary cruise from Athens to Istanbul.
Sally also contributed to and co-edited Strong Currents, an anthology by Hawai`i writers, and contributed to Strong Currents 2. A third anthology is scheduled for 2007 release. Her articles and essays have appeared in the Honolulu Advertiser and Star-Bulletin. She’s been an active member of RWA for eleven years.
Prior to writing full-time, she worked as a travel agent and as writer and editor of business publications. She and her husband are still avid travelers. They have biked in Europe, slid down the crater of a volcano in New Zealand, and kayaked on the California coast and Canadian inlets. They now divide their time between homes in Hawai`i and Utah, the beaches and the ski slopes.
