SUBJECT: Creating Meaningful Art: If people look at your work in a gallery, you' are unlikely to know if they like what you do.... or not. Or if they find it interesting enough to stop and ponder it. Since forever ago I have created 2 types of art. ! The First type is the art that sells. Also called (by me) . . pretty pictures. This is at the beginning when you have very little money and you need to have some income. But eventually you realize that once in a while you simply have to create something that you personally want or need to tackle. This is the second type. When these pieces do not sell, you realize.....a h a ! People do not buy interesting art: a pretty scene, a cute bird, a unique or familiar landscape. The trouble is they are both fun to do, but the second type is rewarding.
